Dear Residents
HCPF AGM 2021:
The Henley on Klip Community Police Forum should have had their AGM by now, but due to the C-19 restrictions it did not happen. An online AGM also fell through. The HCPF committee will be meeting soon to finalise a new date and time.
Crime stats and SAPS Meyerton:
In the last two months crime has been relatively quiet in our village, but the same cannot be said in other parts of our country. During the unrest we were in constant contact with SAPS Meyerton and our neighbouring CPFs. Meyerton SAPS and Meyerton CPF had additional patrols in the town to monitor any criminal activities.
It was heart-warming, even on my daily commute to work, to see normal citizens of this country standing side by side to halt any possible looters and rioters from Henley on Klip all the way to Vereeniging.
People started to realize what they will lose in the long run should they participate in these short-term gains.
Since the reopening of the liquor outlets, there has been a definite spike in criminal behaviour, so please be vigilant in protecting your belongings.
Two-way radio:
Many of the community will be glad to hear that we still have not shut down the analogue signal on our repeater due to the recent C-19 restrictions. We will advise once we have a new date for the switch-over.
HCC: (Command Centre at Ewelme & Henley Drive):
The HCC re-opened on Saturday 7 August 2021 from 09:00 – 12:00 and should be open most Saturdays.
Please remember we, at the HCPF, are all volunteers and we do not get paid. We are NOT an armed response company.
HCPF General Enquiries can be sent via SMS only to 076 881 8437
Emergencies ONLY: 081 813 3912
(Please note that you will be cut short if this is not an emergency – someone’s life could be in danger.)
