Chairman’s Report December 2022
Thanks Henley – be safe this festive season.
As the year comes to an end, we can’t help but think back on the year that has passed.
For many it has had its struggles and ups and downs; some of us have lost loved ones and fought the good fight through illness, others have welcomed new little humans, got that much needed job, moved house, or simply been living their best life.
Our village has seen plenty of action, but one thing has always stood out and that is the resilience of our community and the support that you offer neighbours. You have been awesome.
As the newly elected Chairman of the HCPF, I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to the community, but even more so to the HCPF that I serve. When I was elected, I came in slightly disillusioned by the job that lay ahead, but with the support of the diverse and committed members of the HCPF, I have managed to fully understand and appreciate the role we play in serving our community.
HCPF would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the community for being our Eyes and Ears and for all the support you have shown us, from sponsorships to donations and everything in between. Without your commitment we would not be able to serve you as we do.
To all the members of HCPF, a huge dose of respect to you all. Your commitment, selflessness and dedication is what makes up a forward-thinking community-focused police forum. I thank you for sacrificing personal time and sleep due to late night or early morning emergencies.
December is here (finally) and although for many it really is the most wonderful time of the year, it does come with downsides. Please be diligent and alert. If you are going away secure your home.
Many of our patrollers will also be taking a well-deserved break so there will be fewer members available. We will, however, still be as committed as we can possibly be.
If you are staying at home this Christmas be vigilant with security and personal safety; unfortunately criminals tend to work overtime during the holidays.
From all of us to all of you, may your Christmas be filled with joy, cherished memories and blessings.
Be safe.
Steve Endley
Chairperson
