Chairman’s Report January 2023

January, the first month of the new year. What a perfect time to start all over again!
As the new chapter of 2023 begins, we at the Henley on Klip Community Police Forum (HCPF) can’t help but look back on the month of December and feel somewhat relieved, yet grateful, that we have managed to survive the festive season as well as the devastating flood that ravished our village.
Although the recent flood caused huge amounts of damage, one thing is for certain; in a time of crisis our community stands together. To all who offered assistance throughout the flooding, your quick response time and unwavering support was truly phenomenal. With too many names to mention, a huge amount of thanks and respect to you all.
As in life, 2022 has seen its fair share of challenges, some of grief and loss and others of new beginnings and opportunities. May 2023 be a fresh start with infinite possibilities for all our community members.
HCPF is raring to take on 2023 with optimism and commitment. We hope that our community will be there to support us ten-fold and grow the HCPF with new Eyes and Ears members and innumerable patrollers; we are only as strong as the community that supports us.
We are also hoping to raise much needed funds to better our commitment to Henley on Klip. That once again can only be done with our residents’ support.
This is the first full year with the newly elected committee and we are super excited to start planning and setting in motion new ideas. WATCH THIS SPACE.

First responders … why do they do it?
