You DON’T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING, except fill out a form. (Admittedly, that’s a pain and asks intrusive questions about your name and address).

You DON’T have to give ANYTHING. (Although donations are welcome from R50/month).

You DON’T have to join the Telegram groups, follow the Twitter feed, like the Facebook page or visit the website. (Mind you, that’s how you know what’s going on in the village!).

You DON’T have to join Telegram. (Although it helps to keep informed and inform others).

You DON’T have to buy a radio. (It’s nice if you can. The new digital radios are costly, but they’re great for keeping in touch and emergencies).

You DON’T have to call in for radio check at 19:30 each evening. (It’s good to know your radio is charged and working; also, you can enter the monthly pizza draw).

You DON’T have to patrol! (Patrolling means risk, transport, fuel and fingerprints; BUT you’re still part of the family even if you don’t patrol).

You DON’T have to attend meetings once a month, or even the AGM (although that’s where we share the goodies).

You DON’T even have to call in at the Command Centre between 09:00 and 12:00 on Saturdays (Although they sell great boeries on the last Saturday of the month).
